A Golden Tea Time

Hello Friends,

Since this week is Hallowe'en I thought we could share

"A Golden Tea!"

As you are probably aware, pink is the main colour of the majority of my teacups but I do have some other pretties that I also treasure.

This stunning Sutherland teacup is trimmed with an abundance of gold trim and has an orange-toned flower amidst the multi-colour floral pattern.

It was once my dear mother's.

The heavily gold trimmed tea set is a Sadler and Made in England.

Happy Hallowe'en to all!

Thank you for joining me for

"A Golden Tea Time!"
Karen

A Sweet Pea and Gingham Rose Tea

Welcome Lovely Friends To
A Sweet Pea and Gingham Rose Tea

When I retired in June a kind and dear teacher friend on my staff knew about my obsession with pretty teacups and gifted me with this lovely vintage Paragon teacup from her collection.  It is called "Sweet Pea".

It is a very pretty pattern. The background is white decorated with a garland of Sweet Pea Flowers in pretty shades of blues and pinks

with green stems and leaves on the rim of both the saucer and on the exterior of the teacup.

There is a black and white design on the edges behind the one side of the flowers and both pieces are trimmed with gold gilding. The centre of the Saucer where the cup sits is very nicely decorated as well.

The second teacup I would like to feature today is also a Paragon.  It is called "Gingham Rose".

This delightful floral patterned teacup is a black, pink, yellow, and green needlepoint around the inside of the saucer and around the outside of the cup.

There is a large rose pattern inside of the saucer.  The cup and saucer is trimmed in gold around the rim of the saucer and rim of the foot and handle of the cup.

I love the shape of these Paragon Teacups.  They are so dainty and delicate.

Would you like a blueberry muffin

or perhaps an almond or cinnamon cookie to dip in your tea?

The coffee pot we are using as a teacup has no markings but I believe it could be from Bavaria.

Thank you for joining me today for
A Sweet Pea and Gingham Rose Tea!

Have A Sweet Week!

A Pretty Pink Teatime

Welcome Dear Friends to
A Pretty Pink Teatime!

Today I am pleased to take part in Sandi's special teatime at
Rose Chintz Cottage  in honour of October's
Breast Cancer Awareness.

Pink has always been my favourite colour and
I have chosen two of my dainty  pink paragon teacups for our teatime together.

Both of the outer cups are white with a plain gold border in the middle.

The inner cups and saucers are pale pink and are adorned with vibrant flowers in assorted colours.

Help yourself to a little pink iced cupcake.

The pink cream and sugar are Royal Winton and the pink teapot is a Sadler.

The larger cake plate is a Limoges.  Made in France.

The tea plates have a wide gold trim surrounded by pink roses.  There are no markings on these plates.

The wee figurine is praying that soon a cure will be found for cancer.

Thank you sweet friends for visiting
 A Pretty Pink Teatime.

Thank you Sandi for hosting such a special tea time today!

 Have a wonderful week!
Karen
