More Pink for Tea Time

Welcome Pink Lovers to

"More Pink for Tea Time"!

Don't you just love stacking pretty pink teacups?

I recently found another pink rosebud Shelley Teacup  and now I have a pair!

(I think of you Ruth as I admire it's beauty - Ruth has an abundance of Shelley cups)
Tuesday Cuppa Tea

It was an amazingly lucky find for under $4.00!

Both are identical and have a scalloped rim of mint green and an array of rosebuds on the cup and saucer with a dear rose on the inner cup.

"In color psychology, pink is a sign of hope. It is a positive color inspiring warm and comforting feelings, a sense that everything will be okay.

Pink calms and reassures our emotional energies, alleviating feelings of anger, aggression, resentment, abandonment and neglect. Studies have confirmed that exposure to large amounts of pink can have a calming effect on the nerves"

As I play with my pink pretties and enjoy my flowers today I escape to my calm and happy place and try to find peace.  So many friends are having surgeries and enduring serious illnesses.  There is so much suffering and discontent throughout the world.

Do you find pink calming and peaceful?

Thank you so much Dear Pink Lovers  for joining me today for

"More Pink for Tea Time!"

I hope that you have a calm and relaxing week!
Karen

  1. Hi Karen,
Oh, what lovely Shelley teacups! I cannot believe you paid so little for so beautiful a teacup. What a fabulous find! You definitely live in an area for thrifting. What fun you must have. I love your teapot too and the stacked teacups make my heart go pitter-pat. Yes, I do love pink. It is such a warm, peaceful, and feminine colour. Thank you for joining me for tea and have a delightful day.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  2. Nooo . . . . I can't believe it! $4? Shelleys are always the most expensive teacups out there. What a deal! It is a gorgeous cup, my mother has several of those rosebud Shelleys. Lovely teapot too. And the gerbera daisies are wonderful, aren't they? So cheering.

  9. What a lovely table and china. As a milk glass collector I also noticed your lovely vase. It is also in another Tea Cup Tuesday post this week, because it is such a great size and design. Lovely china and vintage glass, what a great way to start the day!

  10. What a great find for $4! Some people (like you) have all the collecting luck :). I don't stack teacups very often--I'm pretty clumsy and have visions of breaking them if I try. I love pictures with them stacked though! Maybe one day I should give it a try...on a soft surface.

  11. Hi Karen: What a wonderful find for $4. I love it when that happens. I have missed talking to you and it is my fault. My son has been very ill. That seems like it is all I can think about. Please let me know how your family is doing. Forgive me for not being a good friend right now. Love you lots, Martha
