Poinsettia for Tea Time

Welcome Dear Tea Friends to

"Poinsettia for Tea Time!"

During the year I was on the search for Royal Albert Poinsettia teacups.

I had found the teapot last year at Salvation Army.

I was overjoyed to find four matching teacups during one of my thrifting excursions.

So festive for Christmas and it matches my R.A. Val D'or china  perfectly until I find some Poinsettia tea plates (hopefully).

What is your favourite Christmas china pattern?

Well, I must get baking.  It's my daughter's 22nd birthday on Tuesday and my hubby's 60th birthday celebration next Sunday.

December birthdays do make for such a busy time of year.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy day and visiting me for

"Poinsettia for Tea Time!"

See you next week!
Karen

  1. Your holiday china is awesome - I cannot believe you found each piece while thrifting?? WOW, that's beyond lucky. I don't find much nice china while thrifting around here - I think it is scarfed up the moment it is brought in!

We had/have a lot of December bdays in my family too: Mom 17th, son in law on 18th, little brother on 23rd, Dad and my favorite aunt who helped raise my mom both on 29th. Busy time of year, indeed.

Well I wish your loved ones happy December birthdays, and for you a time or two for some peaceful sipping!

  4. Oh my, Karen, you have so many pieces of the Poinsettia pattern! You could open your own tea room with so many lovely teacups and teapots in your collection. Wouldn't that be fun! Happy Birthday to your daughter and hubby! My little granddaughter had a birthday last Friday and mine is coming up too soon. It is a busy time for birthdays with Christmas on the way. Thank you for sharing your lovely post and enjoy your week, dear friend.

    Christmas blessings,
    Sandi

  9. I thought that teapot looked kind of familiar. So I went to find a Christmas teapot that I had bought at an estate sale last year and packed away. It's the same one! Thanks for reminding me! I'm collecting Christmas teacups too, but I want each one to be different. Enjoyed your pretty Poinsettia Teatime.

  10. I really like the poinsettia dishes -- so unusual -- holly common, poinsettias are rare!

  11. What a wonderful set! I love that pattern. It was made by several other companies too, so if the marks don't have to match you'll be able to add some more! A perfect tea for Christmas time! Thanks so much for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

  13. Beautiful Karen! I think we all would love to come thrifting with you -- you find the best things. This is such a pretty Christmas set. Do you have to look up poinsettia every time like I do? I can never remember how to spell it!
My husband's 60th is next week, too. I'm going out today to hopefully find a special gift. Sigh . . .nothing like waiting until the last minute!
Enjoy your husband's birthday. Blessings to you, Deborah

  16. You dishes are perfect for the holidays. It is amazing what you can find at Thrift or Goodwill stores. I am sure they did not know the value of the items.

  18. your poinsettia tea service is lovely. I enjoy a mix & match table as long as everything has an element to pull it all together - and I think the tea service looks very nice with your china. I was very lucky a few years ago to find a some pieces that reminded me of living in Germany (my father was military and we were in Germany a few years) simply called "Christmas Tree" by Waechtersbach. I have looked them up on Replacements and they are a bit dear, so I'm lucky to have found them when I did. I adore them.
