A Cobalt Blue Tea

Welcome Dear Friends To
 A Cobalt Blue Tea

It is a rainy day at the castle today.  Wouldn't you like to join me by the cozy fire for a cup of tea?

I am so delighted  for your company.
Please sit down on my mother's velvet rose his/her vintage chairs.

Today I would like to use a variety of my special cobalt blue china pieces.

Don't you love mixing and matching favourite and precious treasures?

The cream and sugar are Royal Albert entitled Heirloom.

The teapot is Made in Japan.

The teacups are both Royal Albert.

They have a pattern of yellow and orange flowers and scrolls in deep cobalt blue on a white background and trimmed with rich gold.

The tea plates are also similar patterns but differ in size and shape.

Please do have a little treat with your cup of tea.

I just made some homemade banana muffins and chocolate chip cookies with walnuts.

Thank you for joining me today for

A Cobalt Blue Tea.

Have a Wonderful Week!
Karen

  1. Good morning Karen,
Your tea is very cozy there before the fire. The cobalt blue pieces are so lovely and rich in colour. I have one Imari teacup also made in England which would look nice with your pieces. Your mother's his & hers chairs are nice too. {I once had blue ones.} Thank you for the cozy tea time and have a lovely day.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  4. Wonderful Karen! The style (not the pattern name) is called Imari because of the colors. I LOVE Royal Albert Heirloom, because it is some of the best of the Imari versions. It was named for a region in Japan that the China traders from England brought back some of the first tea wares from. Great collection, and gorgeous setting! Thanks so much for sharing you wonderful collection and linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

  6. Wonderful place to have tea in the pretty highback chairs by the fire. Your cobalt Royal Albert set is so lovely for tea and the teapot has lovely cobalt and gold. The homemade muffins and cookies look delicious! Have a great week!

  7. With how cold and rainy it's been here, your tea by the fire is most welcome. The cobalt blue china is nice, I have some glass pieces but nothing for tea - yet.
